The cost of operations for the four plants, about 300 000 €, was paid by Sevas, a company in which the Comune di Capannori ha affidato la progettazione, la realizzazione e la gestione degli impianti. L’investimento per i lavori viene in gran parte coperto con la tariffa incentivante del conto energia, con il risparmio netto conseguito con l’utilizzo dell’energia elettrica prodotta attraverso il meccanismo dello scambio sul posto e con i finanziamenti giunti da un apposito bando emesso dalla Regione Toscana. A Sevas, infatti, per 10 anni andrà il credito ottenuto dalla tariffa incentivante che deriverà dall’energia prodotta dagli impianti.
L’energia prodotta tramite questi sistemi è rinnovabile e prodotta senza alcuna emissione inquinante. Si stima, quindi, che non verranno emesse nell’atmosfera 35,4 tonnellate per year of carbon dioxide (about 9 tonnes / year plant).
