research project "The future of the Italian entrepreneurial system" - Interview with Dr. Cannavale -
We believe that we live a crisis operation and try to overcome it by adopting strategies to improve the existent. We are instead faced with a crisis entire ecology of "meaning." To overcome it is necessary to abandon any temptation to turn and conservation efforts, intense and widespread use of design at all levels of our society.
To help launch a new era of entrepreneurship , that it seems fair to define
"increased", we decided to start an event planning systemic absolutely new: the involvement of all the Italian ruling class in an explicit commitment di riprogettazione
dell’universo industriale, economico, finanziario, sociale, politico, istituzionale .
L’Italia è un po’ indietro con l’e-commerce rispetto al resto Europe, but I'm sure that in future we will reach European levels, because there are basic structural problems. In terms of business model, there are big differences between Italy and the rest of Europe, especially with regard to flights. The only difference is that there is in the travel and tour operators: the only sector in which Italy is really back.
regard to education, play Italy in the small American model: the best brains in the center to the north and south are still there. The challenge is to give conditions to allow these people to return home, but being able to express. Another common phenomenon is that many Italians go to work in London or the United States. If we do not have a system that selects the talent, the other countries attract the best of our resources.
In most developed countries there is an academic system that works. The current trend in the United States is not specialization. They have a multicultural system, develop many interesting topics within the university in collaboration with large corporations. It 's a typical behavior of the Italians parceled out.
It 's a fact that in Italy is an ongoing exchange industry. I hear "If, however, after no longer produced? A nation can not be maintained on the service sector. " In my opinion this statement is wrong. Take for example the United States: the first two industries are the software and film.
In Italy there is already a first industrial revolution. The dismantling of the industrial system is a process that is already happening and not in a way so traumatic.
What should Italy are strategic projects, such as in infrastructure.
Moreover in a world that is changing and is increasingly focused on new technologies, the real strategic asset is the people. I have a very innovative company in the business of insurance, holidays and restaurants. The value of the fund is to provide a modern solution to the end customer and this type of skills are in Italy, where there are two good universities, and where people are on average brighter. On mobile phones are the world leaders, on Facebook we have the highest penetration in the world than the United States.
We have established the "First-generation network," which is an informal network to exchange ideas and information to support young entrepreneurs.
In Italy there is an important cultural fact and demagogic: average people do not realize how Asia is economically and technologically advanced. The epicenter of the world is now Asia, but there is awareness and forms of racism that persist on our part.
