The greek word "aisthesis "indicates not only the act of perceiving the outside world through the senses, but more fully indicate the possibility of" knowing " the outside world because, through that sense, it activate the intelligence, emotions, sensations through the organs of sense, therefore, the human being comes into contact with reality and receives thousands of daily information and ideas that can stimulate their mental and physical size, its capacity and its critical sensitivity.
And who needs more artist of the 'Aisthesis, "that is aware of that particular perception and emotion that leads to the revision, for his creative impulse?
The artist does not represent the world as it actually but the brain combines the sensations with his tendency to sublimate the everyday life and to reconcile the variety of experiences consumed in a poetic synthesis, by maintaining awareness of the context in which it resides.
In fact, starting from that term, Baumgarten in 1750 coined the neologism "Aesthetica" to define the specific discipline of philosophy that has as its object the study and reflection on the concept of "Beauty", and the criteria that determine the value of the processes and languages \u200b\u200b art.
On this basis the project was born in Settimo Torinese " Aisthesis" , cultural initiative dedicated to the theme of "senses", promoted by the 'Association of Art Total : the "view", the 'smell', the 'taste', the "hearing", the "touch", the "satori" (ie the 'intuition') from time to time issues will be offered to a group of artists to a research collective that will develop over six years, with six exhibitions focused on the development of sculptures, paintings, installations, photographs, videos, moments of music, dance, theater and other forms of entertainment designed to represent and interpret the relationship between the senses and forms of creativity, in view of the contemporary.
The first edition of this cycle is dedicated to "VISTA ": Forty artists were invited, each with two new works, to express their views subject in greater freedom both in terms of style from the point of view of the instruments and operational techniques.
